I cannot talk this heart rate monitor up enough. It makes me feel like I'm actually doing something! I can do the Wii Fit Plus and know realistically how many calories I am burning, my target heart rate, average during the workout, max during the workout. Seriously best purchase in a while.
I did this new thing on Wii Fit Plus where you can plan your routines and combine them. I made a combination 53 minute workout including a cool-down and did a 7 minute warm up on Wii Fit Plus prior. With button pushing and down time it was a total of 1 hour 20 minutes. I didn't stop my heart rate monitor this time.
I burned 341 calories. Averaged 113. Maxed 166.
It's supposed to be between 130 and 160. I think. So that's not too bad.
We have plans to go to a wine and cheese tasting at the neighbor's so I wanted to make sure I worked out before that!!!!

Week One Done!
It has been one week since I started my fit life. I have so far lost the 2.6 pounds. I also met my three days a week workout goal. I didn't follow my schedule like I wanted to though but I still tried to be more active.
The big thing that I am focusing on is relearning and reteaching myself the art of restriction. It's not quite dieting because dieting is temporary. Restricting is this mental thing that I do that kind of works with my OCD nature as well.
It's a willpower thing. Like for example, every day at work I can't have lunch until I finish my entire Venti ice water. Some days I'm done at normal lunch time for me and have lunch but some days like today - I'm not done yet - so no lunch yet no matter how hungry I am.
Other things I have been doing in terms of this is no couch until I do something after I get home. That one hasn't worked as well yet as the water one but it's getting there.
Wish me luck for week 2!
